Abaya Fashion Illustration for a blog title

I’ve heard many of my fellow petite friends complaint about their short figure. If you ask me I love being short and shaped, and my husband loves me like that more than I do.It’s all about personal preference, I love a mini cooper than a BMW 7series; it’s the same story. But it is important to choose an Abaya for a short body type for short and dainty women to be beautiful in it.

Why it’s important to choose an Abaya for a short body type?

  • The issue with lot of petite women today is that they dress up in such a manner that it makes them look shorter than they really are.
  • While we are short we ought to dress accordingly so that our dressing does not further reduce our height giving that midget look.

Some time back while I was shopping in Emirates Mall, Dubai I noticed a pretty girl who was wearing a beautiful ankle length coat style Abaya but it looked highly unbalanced.

Even though she and her Abaya looked beautiful there was some sort of mismatch, which was giving her that absurd look. If one is short it is to avoid this absurd mismatch people have to wear an abaya that suits their body type.

How to choose an abaya for a Short body type?

  • The key to look flattering and appear tall is by sticking to a monochrome Abaya or Abaya with one or no color combination
  • When you wear abaya all in one color, it presents one coherent visual image that is vertical hence you look taller
  • Choose Abaya that is slightly longer and flowy to appear taller.
  • Avoid Abayas that are ankle length or with any designs at the hem this will make you appear shorter as it visually divides your silhouette making you appear shorter

Here you go my fellow shorties, follow these tips and see the uplift in your looks
